This build is being tested on experimental branch, and contains a number of fixes and changes that have been in preparation for the last two weeks. Please note that we do not expect that this build will be quickly posted to stable branch as we anticipate at least one more update will occur to Experimental prior to being pushed to stable. Only a limited number of servers will be running this version, so be aware slots may be limited. Once we have confirmed this build is functioning correctly we will announce more information about the release to stable branch.


  • What are experimental/stable branches?
In your steam application settings, you can choose a "beta branch". This allows you to opt in to our experimental branch to try it out.

  • Does my saved character get affected in experimental branch?
No. It runs on a different database, so any changes will not affect your character on stable branch.

  • I can't find a slot while on experimental branch!
Only a small number of servers run this branch. You will need to change your game back to the stable branch and play on a normal server

  • Can I join a stable branch server wil experimental branch client?
No, you would need to change your client back to stable.

  • When will this be in stable?
We expect stable to be updated before the end of that week (by Friday 24 January 2014).

This build is has very big back-end changes, which means that it may take some time for game servers to come up. Please keep an eye on the DayZ twitter for updates. Many of the changes not listed here are significant database cluster changes associated with our datacenter, and involve configuration changes to DayZ servers themselves. We have tried to minimize potential problems, but delays and outages are possible now more than ever. We will be working as fast as we can to get everything back online.

Why has <insert any bug> not been fixed yet when there is new content coming in?
While priorities are very important when assigning work, there is a limit to how many people can work on a complex task without making it even more complex. Also, many of the team are focused purely on content/design so while the important stuff is being fixed, they continue to provide content and design updates.

Is mouse acceleration being fixed?
It is not fixed in this update, but we plan to make control changes. It is not as simple as turning it "off" as the speed your character turns is not dictated by the mouse itself, but your movements combined with the type of weapon you have, how tired you are, etc.

Perchè diavolo non sistemate <aggiungere il bug a cui vi riferite qui> prima di aggiungere qualcosa di nuovo?
Siamo consapevoli che le priorità sono molto importanti, ma cé un limite su quante persone possano occuparsi di un qualcosa di complesso senza renderlo ancora più complesso. Senza contare che la maggior parte del nostro team di sviluppo è focalizzato puramente sui contenuti/design di essi, quindi mentre i nostri tecnici lavorano sul sistemare le varie cose, i designer continuano a fornirci aggiornamenti sui vari oggetti su cui hanno lavorato.

Avete sistemato l'accelerazione del mouse?
Non è ancora stata sistemata in questo aggiornamento, ma nei nostri piani ci sono dei cambiamenti incombenti per i comandi di gioco.
Non è cosi facile da sistemare, perchè non può essere semplicemente spenta, siccome la velocità é affetta da vari fattori, come il tipo di arma che avete in mano, quanto siete provati, etc.

ETA to Stable: We will most likely do an update to stable on Wednesday 12 February during the scheduled maintenance period. An important feature of this update is logic changes to how the player character is processed on connection and disconnection. Some serious errors were identified by the new penalty timeout system relating to how the character is processed when they are not in control of their character. This included a serious bug with the respawn button on an unconscious player. Additionally, more bugfixing is included in this update.

Nuova patch 0.31.114343 uscita in Experimental branch, descrizione rilasciata direttamente da Rocket ormai tornato dalle vacanze, segno che torneranno a lavorare a pieno regime sull'alpha. Descizione completa della patch fornita da Rocket (ora sistemo questo thread come visibilità poi vedrò se vale la pena di tradurla per i non parlanti inglese). Tradotta nello spoiler sottostante.

Per attivare l'experimental branch dovete andare nella libreria di Steam -> Tasto destro du DayZ -> si apre un menu a tendina, in fondo - Proprietà -> Beta (4° Finestra da sinistra) Selezionare la beta a cui si vuole partecipare: selezionate "Experimental - Preview testing version" ed in basso a sinistra vi uscirà "Sei entrato con successo nella Beta di "Experimental". Poi basta premere chiudi e avete finito.

La patch non è ancora stata rilasciata, l'ETA era per stamattina orario ceco, ma a quanto pare hanno avuto problemi coi server, siamo ancora in attesa.
Edit: Ore 16:00 è uscità la patch experimental, i server saranno up fra circa 4 ore a quanto dicono.

Questa build sta venendo al momento testata nell'experimental branch, e contiene vari fix e cambiamenti che sono in lavorazione da due settimane. Notate che questa build non sarà rilasciata in tempi brevissimi in forma stabile, perchè ci aspettiamo di doverla aggiornare almeno un'altra volta in fase di testing.
Solo un limitato numero di server avrà questa versione attiva, quindi siate consapevoli che gli slot per giocarla potrebberò essere limitati. Una volta che saremo sicuri che questa build funzioni in modo corretto annunceremo ulteriori informazioni per la release definitiva nella forma stabile.


  • Che cosè la Experimental/Stable Branch?
Nelle opzioni di Steam riguardanti DayZ potete attivare la "Beta Branch". Questo vi permette di scaricare le patch experimental per provarle.
  • Il salvataggio del mio personaggio viene modificato nell'Experimental Branch?
No, l'Experimental Branch usa un differente Database, quindi nessun cambiamento avviene al tuo personaggio della Stable Branch.
  • Non riesco a trovare nessuno slot libero nell'Experimental Branch!
Solo un numero limitato di server usa questa patch sperimentale, se vuoi trovare uno slot ti invito a tornare alla versione Stable e giocare su un server normale.
  • Posso entrare nei server che usano la Stable Branch mentre utilizzo l'Experimental Branch?
No, per entrare nei server che usano la Stable Branch devi riportare il tuo client a questa versione tramite Steam.
  • Quando questa Patch uscirà in Stable Branch?

La patch è uscita ora su Steam, stanno lavorando per portare i server per il testing online, sono 415,5 MB.

Ci dovrebberò essere 5 server da 30-40 slots disponibili per provarla.

Si, cè stato un rollback del database originale per problemi vari, gente si è trovata il char di due giorni fa. E' un'alpha.

Grazie , lo so anche io che è un'alpha , e non mi lamento per nulla , ho solo voluto confrontare con altri player se hanno avuto lo stesso inconveniente .

Frying pan (padella)
Combat Knife
Craft: Bag 12 slot = Burlap sack + rope
e anche qualcos'altro
Si, anche un nuovo beretto militare neo zelandese (qua chiamato basco con medaglia) ed altre robe, ma se non cè nella patchnote, io non le aggiungo di mio.

@TomTom, cè la sezione delle domande per quello. Volevo tenere questo thread pulito per renderlo di più facile lettura, ma a quanto pare è impossibile. Tanto vale smetterla di provarci a questo punto.

ho scritto qui perchè ho visto che si riferiva alla patch,non volevo interferire con i tuoi intenti :)
Tranquillo, non sei stato l'unico, poi chiederò di pulire quando non serviranno più questi post.

Comunque a quanto pare il database delle hive non risponde più correttamente, ci sono server che resettano il char e ci sono server che fanno respawnare char vecchi di giorni, ed altri che ne creano di nuovi.
A quanto dicono sui forum ufficiali l'intero database hive è outdated ed è per questo che accade tutto questo, si vociferà di un wipe completo di tutti i personaggi ed un reset del database.

La sto provando da ieri e provando a switchare tra i server una sola volta mi è capitato di trovarmi un countdown di 300 secondi al cambio server, poi non ho più provato. E se slogghi non compare il cd di 30sec, forse ho capito male io che ci fosse?
Ho però trovato l'SKS con scope long range, tanta robina^^ 10 proiettili in load senza ricarica. Ho sperato nel machete ma ancora nada!
Adesso se apri una scatoletta e la rovini, puppi duro^^
Parrebbe che gli zombie salgano le scale? cosi sarebbe successo ad un amico.

Il countdown cè ma non lo fa pesare a te, tu slogghi ed il tuo personaggio rimane li imbambolato per 30 secondi prima di sparire, almeno questa è la teoria, non ho ancora provato.
Il machete si trova nelle deerstands e nei capanni agricoli, ho visto qualche immagine in game, ma dicono che non sia spettacolare, avendo si lo stesso danno (se non superiore) della scure da pompiere, ma avendo molto meno raggio.
Le salivano anche prima, dipende dall'edificio, comunque li stanno mappando un po' tutti, quindi fra un po' saranno in grado di fare le stesse cose della mod, ma tanto devono rifare il sistema di movimento base degli zombie, quindi sarà risputtanato tutto a tempo debito.

Questo dovrebbe succedere se quitti il gioco tipo con alt+F4 il pg rimane in ghost per 30 secondi, quindi in balia degli eventi, tipo uno ti tira tu instaquitti e suki com'è giusto. Mentre il timeout del classico log out, da com'era scritto, sembrava del tipo esci dal gioco quando non sei in combat e parte su schermo un countdown di 30 secondi, come in tanti mmo poi. Però a me non l'ha mai fatto, vedremo un pò..
Grazie, adesso cerco di andare in qualche deerstands sono curioso di provarlo.

alt+f4 non funziona più (almeno a me non funziona), quando muori o rimani svenuto c'è il tasto respawn che fa partire un countdown di 30 sec e poi .... "please wait" all'infinito.

ah meglio ancora se non funziona xD
devono mettere che se slogghi in combat muori come un cane, come in alcuni mmo.
